Presidential Scholarship

Awarded to the senior with the highest GPA from each area high school who is attending SCCC. Students receive Tuition plus Books. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA. If a student has a 3.5+ GPA and is selected as a student tour guide, the scholarship is raised to Tuition, Books and Fees.

$1000 Academic Excellence Scholarship

Student must have a 3.5 GPA or higher.

$800 General Academic Scholarship

Student must have a 3.00-3.49 GPA.

$600 General Academic Scholarship

Student must have a 2.50-2.99 GPA.

$400 Academic Incentive Award

Student must have a 2.00-2.49 GPA.

Other Scholarships

Students, following sponsor recommendation, may be eligible for a performance book scholarship, a tuition and book scholarship or $1,000 and a book scholarship, if they participate in one of the following areas: Agriculture, Art, Athletics, Spirit Squad, Criminal Justice, Drama, Journalism, Livestock Judging, Instrumental Music, Peer Tutor, Saints-n-Action, Sports Medicine, SIFE, Student Manager or Vocal Music.

Part-Time Scholarships

These are available depending on the number of hours in which a student is enrolled.

Scholarships through the Seward County Community College Development Foundation are usually divided between two semesters. All awards and scholarships are renewable. Scholarships require that students attend class and maintain a minimum grade point average. Specific details are available from the Student Financial Aid Office. Application for admission, scholarship application and transcript must be on file.

$500 Out-of-state Academic Distinction Scholarship

These are available for out-of state, non-border county students who have a 3.5 or higher grade point average.
