You're not alone when it comes to student loans. SCCC/ATS has partnered with Inceptia, a division of National Student Loan Program (NSLP), to provide you with FREE assistance on your Federal student loan obligations to ensure successful, and comfortable, loan repayment. Inceptia's friendly customer representatives may reach out to you during your grace period to answer questions you have about your loan obligation and/or repayment options. They may also contact you if your loan(s) become delinquent. Inceptia is not a collection agency. We've partnered with them to help you explore a wide variety of possibilities such as alternative repayment plans, deferment, consolidation, discharge, forgiveness, and forbearance options. Inceptia will stay in touch with you via phone calls, letters, and/or emails to help you find answers to your questions and solutions to your issues.
TWO DATES TO REMEMBER:
*APRIL 15TH - REQUEST FOR SUMMER AID FORMS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN OUR OFFICE - YOU MUST FILL ONE OUT IF YOU WILL BE TAKING SUMMER CLASSES
IF YOU THINK YOU NEED TO DROP ANY CLASSES DURING THE SEMESTER, PLEASE FIRST CHECK WITH YOUR ACADEMIC ADVISOR AND THEN CHECK WITH OUR OFFICE TO SEE HOW THIS MIGHT AFFECT YOUR FINANCIAL AID.
The Department of Education has changed the way a student and parent electronically sign the FAFSA and other federal student aid documents. The PIN has been replaced with an FSA ID. To create an ID visit www.fsaid.ed.gov and follow the steps.
In the SPRING 2016 semester, students wanting to take out a student loan must first be awarded a Student Loan. A Loan Acceptance Form must be filled out and will be mailed to you. If you have lost yours, click here to print the form. The form will have to be turned in to the Office of Financial Aid in person before the loan will be processed. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact our office at 620-417-1110.
PLEASE NOTE: To receive a loan from SCCC/ATS a student must complete a 2015-2016 FAFSA and be eligible for Financial Aid. SCCC/ATS does not certify outside loans.
One of our goals in the Financial Aid Office is to help our students understand how to spend, save, and invest money wisely. We want to encourage everyone to look at a website that Inceptia has given us access to, called Financial Avenue. (See link at the bottom of the page) This website has financial literacy courses, articles, and videos to help students better understand how to manage their money. If you have not set up an account on Financial Avenue and have trouble doing so, please call Shannon at 620-417-1113.
