Adjunct Instructors

Adjuncts are hired on a per course basis and must meet Kansas Board of Regents and North Central Accreditation certification requirements. At the discretion of the College additional criteria may be required beyond the minimum certification requirements. Hours vary depending on the type of course offered. Classes are held morning, afternoon and/or evenings. 

Instructor must be able to teach on campus or in service area.

Master’s in teaching discipline or Bachelor’s with 24 hours in teaching discipline.
Adjunct pay varies upon education level. 
In-state adjunct or a member of their dependent family may receive tuition benefits equal to the number of hours taught for the semester with a maximum of three (3) credit hours. Adjunct may apply for professional development grants after one semester of employment and who are under consideration for employment the following semester.

Selection Process: The search committee will conduct all minimum qualification appraisals as set forth on the position announcement and job description and reserves the right to limit the number of interviews granted. Meeting the minimum qualifications for a position does not assure the applicant an interview. Applicants selected for an interview will be notified of the time and place of the interview.  Interviews are usually conducted on campus by the search committee. Additional interviews and/or teaching demonstrations may be required.
