The Drafting and Design Technology program at Seward County Community College / Area Technical School trains students in the art of converting concepts, sketches, and ideas of engineers and architects into detailed drawings for manufacturing, construction, and engineering.

Our house, our office, our automobile, our streets, our golf clubs and tennis racquets our bicycles, lawn mowers and toys--these all began as an engineering or architectural drawing.

This program is designed to develop drafting skills and learn related fundamentals for manufacturing, engineering, building construction, surveying, and design. Technical drafters are considered the communication link between engineering professionals and industry. In this position, the drafter is both creative and knowledgeable.
