Degree Options

An Associate in Science degree (transfer option) requires the completion of a minimum of 12 hours in a field of study with 64 hours required for graduation. After two years, a student will have a strong background in agriculture to allow him or her to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete work on a bachelor's degree. With the aid of a faculty advisor, a student will select courses to fit the curriculum as established by the transfer school.

An Associate in Applied Science degree requires the completion of a minimum of 45 hours in specialization courses or competencies and related contextual courses or competencies. The requirements of the occupation determine the mixture of courses. In addition, the student must complete general education requirements. A student must take a minimum of 64 credit hours for degree completion. In the Applied Science degree option, students may specialize in livestock production or agri-business to better prepare them for a career after two-years of study.
