Our Mission

Seward County Community College is to provide opportunities through a variety of post-secondary educational programs and appropriate related services for the development of "better futures."

Encompassed in this statement are three concepts that are basic to its understanding:

• Implied in the statement is that no person shall, on the basis of gender, race, color, national origin, or handicap, be excluded from participation in, be denied benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in any of the programs or activities at Seward County Community College.

• The Mission Statement provides for great flexibility in the provision of services and programs to allow the college to remain relevant and  responsive to the changing needs of the people who reside in the region.

• The term "better futures" denotes the opportunity for improvement and enhancement of each person's life.
